Principal's message

As we embark on the journey of 2024, I am excited to share with you our school's goals and aspirations for the upcoming year and beyond. This year marks the beginning of an important chapter in our school's history as we continue to evolve and grow. With 14 mainstream classes and the establishment of 3 Autism support classes, we now serve a total student enrolment of 360 students. Our dedicated and experienced staff work hard to support the holistic development of every child, and I am proud of the commitment they bring to our school community.

In 2024, we are launching our new strategic improvement plan, which spans four years, from 2024 to 2027. This plan has been carefully crafted in collaboration with our community, staff, and students, drawing insights from a range of data sources. It outlines our three strategic directions that will shape our efforts and guide us towards a brighter future.

1.      Student Growth and Attainment: Our primary focus is to create an educational environment where every student not only learns but thrives in the core areas of literacy and numeracy. To achieve this, we will implement innovative, evidence-based practices that support collaborative learning and a continuous emphasis on individual student needs and strengths. Our commitment is to raise academic standards and nurture confident, capable learners who are well-equipped for the challenges of the 21st century.

2.    Engagement and Inclusion: We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels valued, understood, and connected. Our goal is to cultivate a culture of belonging where students are actively engaged in their learning journey. We celebrate and integrate their unique backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities into our educational approach. Our aim is to empower our students to become empathetic, global citizens, ready to positively contribute to an increasingly interconnected world.

3.    Collaborative Culture: We will work to create a collaborative culture that enriches both learning and teaching experiences. Our emphasis will be on creating a supportive and dynamic environment where ideas are freely shared, diverse perspectives are valued, and everyone is encouraged to contribute to the educational process. Mutual respect, open communication, and shared responsibility will be the cornerstones of our approach.

Over the next four years, our initiatives will focus on formative assessment, curriculum reform, connecting students to the school through enhanced engagement, improving and developing inclusive education to support all learners, and continuing to refine and improve the way our teachers collaborate. These initiatives are designed to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in a rapidly changing world.

We have strong ties with our community and work actively alongside our P&C. Your support is invaluable to us, and together, we can achieve great things for our students.

I am excited about the future of our school and the positive impact we will continue to make in the lives of our students. With your dedication, support, and active participation, we can look forward to a year filled with growth, inclusion, and collaboration.

Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. Let's work together to make 2024 a year of excellence and achievement.
